Top restaurant in MWC. There food is delicious and the service is consistently excellent

Love coming here for lunch! Very close to Tinker AFB. The service is friendly and quick so it's really great if you need to be back to work by a specific time but don't want to grab a chain restaurant fast food. My go-to orders are the birria tacos, Midwest city special and of course an order of the white queso for the table! I also usually order a horchata and it comes in the frosted clay decorated mug. The salsa they bring to the table always tastes fresh and has a very slight hint of a spicy kick. The white queso isn't free like the salsa but it's good quality queso. A lot of local restaurants that provide "free queso" water it down so much it doesn't even taste like anything in my opinion.

This is our 2nd time to eat at La Herencia and the 2nd time ordering the El Azador Fajitas. So much food with so much flavor!! 3 people could easily share these fajitas. My husband and I left full and took enough home for us to have lunch the next day. The shrimp were my favorite but the pork and steak did not disappoint. The grilled onions and single cheese quesadilla were a hit too. Oh! And we can't forget the chorizo and guacamole!!! Both were delicious. If I had to give one negative it would be the refried beans. They lacked seasoning. But, I can overlook that because all the other food exceeded my expectations. Next time I hope to try something else, although it's hard not to order something when the El Azador is this good!

Legit Mexican restaurant it's our new fav place to go :) and the white queso is so delicious! Chips are so good :) we had the fajitas, fajita chicken burrito and enchiladas:) go check this place out! You won't regret it!

This is the best you will find in this area short of a food truck. Oklahoma City metro doesn't have much to offer in terms of good Mexican but you can't beat the quick service, fair prices and decent carne asada tacos. One of the busiest take out in the area.

This was a major improvement from my first visit here 2 yrs ago. I got a fajita chicken quesadilla with rice and beans. It was very good. There was a side of cheese sauce I put in the quesadilla and it was so good. That queso is really good. It almost reminded me of like perfect melted American on a Philly cheesesteak but better. The peach tea was good. The cool could use some salt but it was cool. The ribeye with shrimp was good. And the steak made great leftovers for quesadillas the next day. The service was okay. It's a family friendly place. But I'd actually go back.

Good Mexican food at reasonable prices, but I do miss free queso and tortillas like so many restaurants offer. The food included some really good items-the esquiete dip (corn dip appetizer) and the fajitas were both worth coming back for. Some of the other items were lacking flavor and spice. The restaurant itself was spacious, clean and decorated nicely. The service was pretty good, but we did have a couple of small issues. Overall, we had a nice meal, and it was good to try something new.

We was looking for "Cali Mex" instead of Texas Mex and this fit the bill. Fast and attentive service in a chill atmosphere. Be sure to order the queso--yes you have to pay for it but it's worth every penny! We had enchiladas Mexicans, Fajitas Hawaiinas, and Tacos Gobernador. Everything was hot and delicious and the fajitas were presented in a half pineapple--nice touch.

If you're looking for authentic and delicious Mexican food, this is the place! It's not Ted's, it's better! Waiters are attentive and friendly. Beers are cheap compared to other places and we love their horchata! They also have a variety of seafood dishes and their fajitas and birria tacos are also amazing! Authentic food, cheap prices, and good service. Very few places like this one!
